Collabrador Terms and Conditions
Version 0.6 · 8 October 2026 · Draft for owner and Austrian legal review
Review status: This is proposed contract wording. It is not in force or approved for publication. The internal review appendix identifies unresolved decisions and procedures that must be completed before the relevant offer or feature is released.
1. Who provides Collabrador
Collabrador is provided by Alexander Grasser-Parger, Staudgasse 76, 1180 Vienna, Austria. You can contact us at contact@collabrador.live.
These terms cover the Collabrador plugin for Rhino and Grasshopper and its online collaboration features, including the Webviewer, Playground and Pinboard. They apply to Free and paid use, including invited collaborators. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
The customer is the person or organisation that obtains a plan. A participant is someone who uses the service, including under a customer's invitation. An invited participant does not become responsible for the customer's subscription charges simply by using a seat.
Both consumers and businesses can use Free and paid plans. Your legal position depends on the purpose and circumstances of the contract. A paid plan, business-style plan name or licence with several seats does not by itself make you a business customer.
2. Your agreement and order
For Free access, the use agreement begins when you expressly accept these terms and we provide access. Invited participants must receive and agree to the applicable use and content rules before joining. Simply visiting a public information page does not create a paid contract.
For a paid plan, the order process lets you review the plan, correct your details and see the total price, billing interval, access period and cancellation conditions before submitting an order that requires payment. Your order is an offer to purchase. The contract is formed when we send a confirmation expressly accepting it. An acknowledgement that only confirms receipt of an order is not acceptance.
We provide the agreed terms and required contract information in a form you can save and keep, such as an email or attached document. The contract language is the language identified in the order process. These English terms do not replace information or translations required for the country in which we offer the service.
The plan and material limits agreed with you form part of the contract. A later change to a marketing page does not change your existing agreement. Individually agreed terms and mandatory legal rights take precedence over conflicting standard wording.
If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to obtain the plan on its behalf. Possession of a seat credential does not establish authority to change billing, accept an order for someone else or dispose of shared project content.
3. What the service provides
Collabrador lets participants share supported model content and collaborate through Rhino and Grasshopper. Published changes pass through the online service to other authorised participants. Browser viewers can receive the content made available through their viewer access.
The plugin supports Rhino 8 on Windows and requires a separately licensed Rhino installation. Online collaboration requires an internet connection. Check the stated system requirements and supported features before obtaining a plan. Support for another Rhino version or operating system must be expressly offered.
Collabrador shares the supported content selected for collaboration. It does not synchronise every part of a Rhino document. Some object types, commands and dependencies are outside the supported workflow; custom document units and linked, proxy or plugin-dependent block content have restrictions. Those restrictions must be described in the product information supplied with the offer.
Save your own working files and check that important changes have been published successfully. The collaboration service is not a document backup or version-history service. This description does not reduce our responsibility to provide the collaboration features we have agreed to supply.
You remain responsible for the professional decisions made using a model, including checking designs before fabrication, construction or other physical use. Collabrador's collaborative editing features do not validate structural safety, regulatory compliance or fitness for a particular design project.
4. Software licence and access
We grant you a non-exclusive right to install and use the Collabrador plugin for the access and features you are entitled to use under these terms. Rights in the plugin remain with us or the relevant software rightsholders. Third-party software remains subject to its applicable licence notices.
You may use the supported Grasshopper and automation workflows. You must not bypass access controls or plan limits, provide unauthorised access to the service, or resell access credentials without our agreement. Rights that the law gives you to make necessary software copies, test software or obtain interoperability remain unaffected.
A licence can provide several seats. A seat is an access entitlement, not ownership of a model or authority over the purchaser's billing. A Rhino process, document, connection and workspace are also different things. The plan information explains which limits apply to each relevant scope.
Keep credentials, workspace passwords and private access links secure. Share them only through the intended invitation workflow with people authorised to receive them. Contact us if you believe access has been compromised. We may ask for proportionate evidence of authority before changing protected access or billing records.
The verified purchaser can use Manage account to see the purchase's plan, seats and dates and reveal, copy or download its current seat tokens. Sign-in requires a fresh code sent to the established purchaser contact in Stripe. Each sign-in opens the selected purchase. Re-download returns current credentials; it does not create another entitlement or extend access. A collaborator's seat does not grant access to other tokens or billing. Lost purchase references and changed contact addresses require proportionate support verification.
Token replacement is performed by an administrator following your verified request for selected seats. We replace the selected seat tokens within two working days after receiving your verified request. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding statutory public holidays in Austria. The account page shows receipt, the deadline in Vienna time and the outcome. Replaced tokens stop working; affected participants must reconnect with the new credentials you distribute. Other seats are unchanged. We notify you without tokens in email. A pending request or message-submission acknowledgement is not confirmation of replacement or inbox delivery. This two-working-day commitment applies to token replacement only; it does not postpone cancellation, statutory withdrawal, privacy deadlines or urgent security duties.
An invited beta participant can check the not-yet-started state, first-use date, expiry and approved extensions using their own seat token. Checking dates does not start or extend the allowance or grant billing or other-seat access. The licence's seats share its agreed allowance.
5. Plans, payment and service limits
The offer identifies the included seats, workspace and usage limits, relevant reset periods, access duration and any material feature restrictions. It must also explain whether a time-limited plan starts on purchase, on first eligible use or on another stated date. Where activation applies to a whole licence, each invited seat does not receive a separate activation period.
The billing period, the plan's usage allowance and the lifetime of a stored workspace are separate. Reconnecting or opening another document does not create a new allowance where the allowance belongs to an existing seat or licence.
Free access does not require a subscription payment. Time-limited access ends as stated when it is granted. It does not automatically become a paid subscription.
Invitation-only trial access normally lasts 30 days from the licence's first eligible use, unless your invitation expressly gives a different period. The period belongs to that individual licence: if it has several seats, the first eligible use of any seat starts the shared period. A participant who joins later does not receive a new period. We may expressly grant an extension for a particular licence and confirm its new end date. Trial access ends automatically at the agreed expiry without renewal, a payment obligation or a need to cancel.
For paid access, the order shows the total payable price, applicable taxes, payment method, due date and billing interval before you commit. Stripe processes the payment. Your payment to Stripe for the order is payment for the Collabrador service; our obligations to you remain ours.
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly and continue until cancelled. We do not offer yearly subscriptions. Workshop is a one-time purchase for the access period stated in the order; it does not renew automatically. The order states when access starts and how to stop future monthly charges. Any legally required renewal notice remains necessary. We do not use these terms to authorise an unspecified price increase or charge you our cloud-provider bill.
When a disclosed limit is reached, the affected connection or operation may be restricted. Necessary, proportionate protection against abuse or excessive system load may also temporarily restrict affected operations. Contact us if you think a restriction is incorrect. A technical restriction does not remove statutory remedies or let us silently replace the agreed paid service with a lower entitlement.
6. Your models and other content
Rights in models, messages and other contributions remain with their authors and other rightsholders. Using Collabrador, paying for a plan or holding an editing lock does not transfer those rights to us or to another participant.
You must have permission to submit the content and share it with the audience you select. This includes any necessary permissions from clients, employers, co-authors and third-party asset owners. Only grant rights you are entitled to grant.
You authorise us to receive, store, technically process and transmit your contributions to provide the collaboration features you choose. This includes allowing authorised participants to receive and collaboratively edit the shared content, and making content available to viewers where you enable viewing. We may use our service providers for those functions. The permission is limited to providing the service and the retention or handling lawfully required in connection with it.
This service permission does not authorise us to sell your private designs, use them in advertising or train AI on them. Publishing or reusing someone else's contribution outside the agreed sharing scope requires an applicable permission or other legal basis. A participant must not claim someone else's authorship.
7. Public Playground and Pinboard
Playground and Pinboard are public. Other people can see and copy contributions. Do not contribute confidential client work, credentials or third-party personal information there.
The Playground is a shared scene. By contributing, you authorise any participant to use Publish to preserve the whole scene, including your contributions. You also authorise the service's automatic season archiving of the shared live scene when rollover conditions are met. You do not have to press Publish yourself for your work to be included. A live change that is neither published nor automatically archived remains subject to the temporary live-state policy; turning off your connection is not a guarantee that it disappears.
When your Playground contribution is included in a Publish or automatic season archive, you offer it under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). This permits copying, adaptation and commercial reuse with the licence's required credit and notices. You designate “Collabrador Playground contributors” as the collective credit, with the Playground source link. Anyone sharing a copy must retain supplied licence and disclaimer references and indicate changes. The licence text controls; it does not transfer ownership or grant all trademark, patent, privacy or other third-party rights.
Contribute only material you can share on that basis, including any required permission from employers, clients and other rightsholders. Original work and CC0 assets may be used. Do not import assets that require a separate author credit, licence or other incompatible conditions. This initial contribution rule avoids promising attribution that the shared scene does not record. Existing material without a stated public licence is not retroactively licensed by this policy.
The CC licence applies only to the relevant published or archived Playground material. It does not license private workspaces, Pinboard messages or the Collabrador software. Reuse must respect that scope. The model may contain collaborative modifications; identify further changes when sharing it.
Removing content from Collabrador cannot erase independent copies or revoke CC rights already validly granted to compliant recipients. We still assess unlawful-content reports and personal-data requests and take action where required. A CC permission is not a defence for material the contributor had no right to publish.
8. Privacy and confidentiality
Our Privacy Notice explains the handling of personal data, diagnostics, providers, international processing, retention and your rights. Agreeing to these terms is not blanket consent to personal-data processing, device storage or international transfers.
We use private project content only for the authorised service purposes or as otherwise legally required. Access by our personnel or providers must be limited to what is needed for their functions. Where we process project personal data on a customer's instructions, any required data-processing agreement addresses that relationship separately.
Choose a workspace and sharing settings suitable for your content. Password-protected workspaces, Free rooms without a password, public features and viewer invitations have different protections. A Free room name alone does not provide the same confidentiality as a workspace password. Authorised recipients may keep copies of what they receive.
Connections are protected in transit, but not every service record is readable only by participants, and processing is not guaranteed to stay entirely within the EU. The Privacy Notice describes these boundaries. Do not send passwords, access tokens or confidential models in an ordinary support email.
9. Responsible use and restrictions
Use the service lawfully and respect other participants' rights. Do not submit unlawful content or malicious files, interfere with others' access, attempt unauthorised access, deliberately evade limits, or generate abusive request traffic. Ordinary supported collaborative and parametric workflows are permitted.
We may restrict the affected access or content where reasonably necessary to address an identified breach, a credible security threat, unlawful content, a legal requirement or an applicable plan restriction. The response must be proportionate to the reason and its scope. A disputed post or one participant's conduct does not automatically justify deleting an unrelated shared workspace.
Where practicable and appropriate, we explain the problem and give an opportunity to correct it before taking action. Urgent protective action may be necessary first. We provide the required reason, notice and available review route, subject to lawful restrictions on disclosure. Mistaken restrictions can be raised with us at contact@collabrador.live.
Use our content report and review guidance or email that address. No account or paid plan is required. Give the exact location, an explanation, your name and reply email, and a good-faith statement that the report is accurate and complete. The guidance explains the exception for reports concerning sexual abuse or exploitation of children. Do not send private credentials or illegal attachments.
Where contact details are available, we acknowledge the report and communicate our decision and review options without undue delay. A person assesses the context; reports do not automatically cause removal. We do not use automated content scanning or automated content decisions. Where required, affected contributors receive reasons through available contact details, subject to lawful disclosure limits. Reply to request human review; judicial remedies and applicable complaints to the Digital Services Coordinator remain available. These routes do not require you to cancel your subscription.
10. Support, updates and service changes
For support, contact contact@collabrador.live with the relevant versions, a description of the problem and an approximate time. We may ask for further information reasonably needed to investigate, while keeping the request proportionate. A support request does not require you to waive warranty rights or disclose an entire confidential model.
We provide the agreed service and the updates, including security updates, required by the contract and applicable law. Follow the supported installation instructions. Any consequences of not installing an update depend on the applicable legal conditions, including adequate information and installation instructions.
We may need to perform maintenance or address a security or operational incident. We aim to limit disruption and explain planned interruptions where reasonably practicable. Support is provided by email. No fixed response or repair time, or numerical availability guarantee, is included unless expressly agreed. This does not extend a statutory deadline or reduce your rights if we fail to provide the agreed service.
For a planned closure of the invitation-only trial programme or a planned service shutdown, we give at least 30 days' advance notice in a form you can retain, including the effective date, effects on access and instructions for saving or retrieving your content. The ordinary expiry of an individual trial follows the fixed term disclosed when it is granted; we do not promise a separate expiry reminder. Any longer notice required by law or the contract takes precedence. An urgent security or legal restriction may require earlier action under Section 9. Programme closure is not a general right to shorten an already agreed individual term. Trial access never converts automatically into a paid plan. A planned shutdown does not remove paid-service, refund or content-retrieval obligations.
Changes beyond those needed to maintain conformity may be made only on a valid contractual and legal basis. The grounds are a change in legal requirements, a concrete security need, or a necessary adaptation to the supported technical environment. Such a change must be proportionate to its reason, explained clearly and provided without an additional charge where consumer law requires this.
Where a change affects a consumer's access or use more than insignificantly, the applicable advance information and termination rights apply. Under the Austrian digital-service rules, this includes advance information in a form you can retain and a right to end the contract without charge within 30 days after the change or, if later, receipt of that information. The right does not arise on that basis if we allow you to retain a conforming unchanged service without additional cost. Other applicable remedies remain available.
Changing these terms is separate from updating the software. Posting new wording on a website does not by itself change your existing contract. Any amendment must follow the applicable agreement and legal requirements.
11. Conformity and legal remedies
We must provide the features, compatibility, continuity and other characteristics required by the agreement and applicable law. A Free or time-limited offer does not remove rights that the law gives you.
If the service is not supplied or does not conform to the contract, contact us with enough information to identify the problem. Consumers retain the applicable statutory rights to have the service brought into conformity, to a price reduction, or to end the contract. The conditions depend on the nature and seriousness of the problem and whether it can be remedied within a reasonable time without significant inconvenience.
Where Austrian digital-service warranty rules require a refund following a price reduction or termination, it is due without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receipt of the relevant declaration. We use the original payment method unless you expressly agree to another method that causes you no cost. Applicable rights to compensation are separate.
Statutory rights and any additional rights expressly agreed with business customers also remain in place. These terms do not impose a shortened complaint deadline or require you to accept service credits instead of a refund that is legally due.
12. Cancelling or ending access
The customer or an authorised representative can stop a recurring subscription by contacting contact@collabrador.live. The verified purchaser can also select Cancel subscription in Manage account, complete Stripe's cancellation flow and return to check its recorded result. The page provides the confirmed effective date and a downloadable confirmation, and we send a confirmation email. Returning from Stripe alone does not confirm cancellation. If sign-in, Stripe or email delivery is unavailable, support remains available outside login. Identify the purchase or licence without secret credentials. We may verify authority proportionately; an invited seat alone cannot authorise cancellation of another person's subscription. Additional online routes required for a country remain applicable.
For ordinary cancellation of a recurring plan, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period and prevents a further renewal charge. No additional notice period is imposed by these terms. We confirm the effective date in a form the customer can keep. Access continues until that date unless another lawful ground requires an earlier restriction. Any more favourable mandatory cancellation rule applies.
A fixed-duration plan ends at its stated expiry unless a further period is expressly agreed. An invitation or an expiring Free entitlement does not create an obligation to purchase a plan.
Either party may end the contract on a legally sufficient serious ground. Where appropriate, the party in breach must first receive notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy it. Immediate termination remains possible where the law permits it. We do not reserve a general right to end a paid service arbitrarily while retaining unearned payments.
Ordinary cancellation, statutory withdrawal, remedies for a defective service and personal-data deletion are different actions. Ordinary cancellation does not itself promise a refund for an otherwise properly supplied current billing period; this does not restrict a refund or earlier termination to which you are legally entitled. The consumer withdrawal information below explains that separate right.
13. Content when access ends
Save or export the model content you are entitled to retain while you have access. Keeping your own working copy is useful even while collaboration continues. Contact us promptly if you need help retrieving content and cannot use the ordinary route.
Content already present in your Rhino document can be saved locally. Clean 3DM export covers supported collaborative objects already in that document; it does not download missing server content, export a whole Grasshopper definition or turn a live preview into saved geometry. Retain the relevant Rhino and Grasshopper files for your own workflow. For password-protected workspace content, keep the password needed to decrypt it: we do not hold it and cannot reconstruct a lost key. These practical limits do not remove our applicable legal duties.
Ordinary workspace content is subject to inactivity cleanup. Current empty-room periods are 24 hours for ordinary Free workspaces, 14 days for licensed workspaces other than Workshop and support workspaces, and four days for Workshop workspaces. The period starts when the room becomes empty; it is not the age of each object. Continued use or reconnection can affect expiry. Public season archives and operational records have separate lifetimes described in the Privacy Notice.
Ending a licence or subscription does not itself erase every shared model or independent local copy. We must distinguish the customer's access, other participants' continuing rights, required records and the content within the requester's authority.
Where withdrawal or termination gives a consumer a statutory right to recover content they provided or created, we make the relevant non-personal content available on request free of charge, without obstruction, within a reasonable time and in a commonly used machine-readable format. The statutory exceptions concern content useful only within the service, content relating solely to use of the service, and aggregated content that cannot be separated or only with disproportionate effort. Joint creation with others does not by itself remove this retrieval right. Any legally required retrieval period takes priority over ordinary cleanup rules.
Our further use of such content after withdrawal or termination is limited by the applicable law. We must also respect personal-data rights, other rightsholders and any valid permissions already granted. Ending access does not give a participant power to erase everyone else's work or compel disclosure of another person's private records.
Any additional mandatory rights to switch services, retrieve or transfer data remain unaffected. An expired seat, a missing local file or an ordinary cleanup setting must not be used to deny a right the law requires us to provide.
14. Liability
Our liability is governed by the applicable law. These terms do not exclude liability for personal injury, intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. They do not impose a fee-based liability cap or make our liability zero because a user chose Free access.
The need to check professional designs and keep local working files does not release us from our own contractual or legal duties. Any liability for loss or damage is assessed under the applicable rules, including causation and the circumstances of the particular case.
15. Complaints, law and courts
Please send service or contract complaints to contact@collabrador.live. We assess the issue and explain the outcome. If a consumer dispute remains unresolved, we provide the legally required information about the appropriate alternative dispute-resolution body and our position on participation in a form the consumer can retain. This does not require you to use an informal complaint route before exercising your legal rights.
Austrian law applies. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protection available under the law that would otherwise apply, including the law of your habitual residence where the relevant cross-border consumer rules apply.
Jurisdiction follows the applicable law. These terms do not require consumers to bring proceedings exclusively in Vienna or accept mandatory private arbitration. If a provision is invalid, its consequences follow the applicable law; it is not automatically replaced by the term most favourable to us.
Consumer withdrawal information
This section explains the statutory withdrawal right for consumers where the distance-contract rules apply to the agreement. The law determines its application to Free services as well as paid services. It is separate from ordinary subscription cancellation and remedies for a defective service.
Your right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from the covered contract within 14 days without giving a reason. For services and digital content supplied without a physical medium, the period begins on the date the contract is concluded. First use of a Workshop licence is not a new contract date for this purpose. If the required withdrawal information was not supplied, the statutory extension of the period applies.
To withdraw, inform Alexander Grasser-Parger, Staudgasse 76, 1180 Vienna, Austria, at contact@collabrador.live or by post, with a clear statement of your decision. You may use the form below, but it is not compulsory. Sending the declaration before the period expires is sufficient to meet the deadline. You do not need a paid seat, a new account or a reason for withdrawing.
You can also use Withdraw from contract, linked prominently on our website and Plans page. Enter your name, enough information to identify the contract, and an email address for the receipt. Review the declaration and select Confirm withdrawal to submit it. You do not need to sign in, provide an access token or give a reason. We immediately acknowledge receipt with the declaration and its receipt date and time; you can download a copy and we send it to your chosen email address. If email delivery cannot be confirmed, the page explains how to retain the receipt and contact us. Other valid withdrawal routes remain available, including when the online form is unavailable.
Receipt of a declaration is distinct from assessing the contract and completing any resulting refund or access change. An incorrect or uncertain order reference does not prevent submission; we ask only for clarification needed to handle the contract. This form is separate from ordinary renewal cancellation or requesting replacement access tokens.
What happens after withdrawal
We reimburse payments due back to you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your withdrawal declaration. The refund uses the same payment method as the original payment unless you expressly agree otherwise without incurring a cost. We do not charge a withdrawal or refund handling fee.
If you expressly requested a paid service to begin during the withdrawal period, and the required information and other legal conditions were met, you may owe an amount proportionate to the service supplied before you informed us of withdrawal. No such amount is due merely because these terms were accepted. If a permitted proportional amount is due, we explain its calculation.
For a paid service, the withdrawal right is lost through full performance only if the required prior express consent and acknowledgement were given. Starting a collaboration session is not full performance of an ongoing service.
Different conditions can apply to separately supplied digital content without a physical medium. For paid digital content, early loss of the withdrawal right requires the applicable express consent, acknowledgement of that loss and required contract confirmation. Downloading a plugin does not by itself waive withdrawal from the continuing collaboration service. If a digital-content withdrawal remains valid, no charge is due for the digital content already supplied.
After withdrawal you must stop using the service supplied under the withdrawn contract, and we may end that access. Your own model rights, applicable content-retrieval rights and personal-data rights remain distinct. Withdrawal does not authorise deletion of an unrelated shared workspace.
